Lake Constance
Lake Constance – the local recreation area for both Bregenz locals and holidaymakers alike. Keen swimmers, sports aficionados, sun worshippers and strollers are all equally at home in the diverse region around the shores of Lake Constance. The third largest inland body of water in central Europe, it is bordered by three countries: Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
Lido & indoor pool in Bregenz
Want to relax, unwind and recharge your batteries? That’s easy at the Bregenz lido. The pool is large, and there’s lots of room to move. The relaxation and regeneration areas are especially calming.
If it’s raining or snowing the indoor pool is the perfect place to swim and splash around in a warm and congenial atmosphere. The protected children’s area with a water slide and paddling pool is a wonderful place for tiny tots to run wild and have fun. Athletes can train in the 25 metre pool, and those less at home in the water can relax in the section reserved for non-swimmers.
Pfänder, the panoramic peak
The most popular viewpoint on Lake Constance. Take the Pfänder cable car up to the local Pfänder peak at an altitude of 1,064 m above sea level.

With an unrivalled panorama extending over the whole of Lake Constance and 240 mountain peaks in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, the Pfänder is the best known viewpoint in the area. Two viewing platforms, detailing historic mountains and a photographic panorama of Lake Constance, provide information about the lake region and the mountain peaks.
