Duvets and pillows
All our rooms guarantee a wonderful night’s sleep, thanks to the natural bedding materials, which are made in Austria by HEFEL Textiles in the neighbouring village of Schwarzach.
Our superior rooms feature pure maize duvets and pillows from HEFL, which guarantee you a natural and peaceful night’s sleep. The maize fibres balance out any temperature fluctuations and ensure a pleasant and harmonious environment in which to sleep.
The maize ingeo fibres used are a type of organic annually growing raw plant material, and indicate how commercial fibre technology is taking account of social and environmental demand.
Mattresses
You will also be sleeping on Oeko-Tex certified mattresses which are made in Salzburg by Elastica*. Produced by a sustainable Austrian company, they are medically tested and thoroughly checked to ensure against harmful substances. As a member of the Alliance for Development and Climate, Elastica ensures that all its activities and projects are 100% in line with the environmental development policies of the WHO (SDGs).

By acquiring out bedding and mattresses exclusively from sustainable Austrian companies, the delivery distances are short and CO2 emissions kept to a mininum. So here in the Sternen Hotel you enjoy a good night’s sleep and a clear conscience at the same time!
