Increased sustainability

As an ecologically orientated business the Sternen Hotel in Wolfurt takes its environmental responsibility for the region seriously. We are passionate about minimising negative influences on the natural world and use our resources carefully so that future generations may also benefit from a healthy environment and enjoy a life worth living.

In addition to environmental responsibility we also recognise social responsibility as being an integral part of our drive for sustainability and quality of life. Making a comprehensive list of the criteria defining eco-labelling was an interesting task.

We are delighted to have been able to fulfil our pre-set social and cultural goals in many different fields, including energy, rubbish, cleaning, information and service.

Social sustainability

As an environmentally conscious tourist business the Sternen Hotel is committed to sustainability. However, this does not only apply to the environment, but also includes social sustainability. We have therefore been co-operating with several other like-minded organisations. One of these is Integra Vorarlberg, a like-minded organisation whose goal is to offer jobs to disadvantaged people. We have also established a re-use agreement with the charity shop Brockenhaus, part of Lebenshilfe Vorarlberg, whose aim is to find jobs for people with disabilities. In addition we are supporting the “Tischlein deck dich“ society (The Wishing Table), which is instrumental in providing food banks for people in need. And last but not least we also support the local Lions Club Vorarlberg Rheindelta-Hofsteig.

All our rooms guarantee a wonderful night’s sleep, thanks to the natural bedding materials, which are made in Austria by HEFEL Textiles in the neighbouring village of Schwarzach.

Excellent public transport connections

Use public transport to visit the holiday destination of your choice. The bus stop is only 2 minutes away. From here you can get to Dornbirn or Bregenz comfortably in 15 minutes. For convenience you can buy your ticket directly from the hotel reception.

Bike & Segway hire

What’s the best way to explore the surrounding area and the Rhine Valley? Stay with tradition and take a bike, or be trendy on the latest model Segway. Both can be hired from the hotel.
