in Vorarlberg
In Vorarlberg and the surrounding area it is possible to access countless museums and places of interest. The Sternhotel is the ideal starting point for a day trip to explore the wealth of museums in the region.
Mittelweiherburg textile printing museum
Built in 1570, the Mittelweiherburg Wasserschlösschen in the catchment area of the Harder Dorfbach has seen many owners (including the Deuring, Kloster and Weingarten families...). Since 1794, however, it has been a fabric printing plant in the ownership of Samuel Vogel from Alsace, the cradle of the textile industry.
In the museum all the techniques of pattern cutting and printing are demonstrated and explained in detail. In addition the exhibition explains the social and political changes brought about by power and riches. It examines the wages and pay gap, the former child labour situation and the work migration trend from Trentino in the late 19th century.
The Kunsthaus - Bregenz art gallery
The KUB was designed by the renowned Swiss architect Zumthor. The much acclaimed architecture is recognised worldwide as one of the leading museum buildings of modern times.
Designed to benefit from natural light, the building’s impact comes from its significant exterior and the uncompromising implementation of its spatial concept. The sublime aesthetic effect of material and form achieved by the ground floor and the three upper stories, piled one on top of the other, combine to produce a compact unit offering great artistic potential.
Bregenz Festival
The summers of 2022 and 2023 will see the first performances of the opera "Madame Butterfly" at the Bregenz Festival.
Vorarlberg Museum Bregenz

The Bregenzerwald Cheese Route
The Cheese Route is a concept put together by the farmers, hoteliers, artisans and businesses of the Bregenzerwald. All members and partners of the Cheese Route endeavour to promote and preserve the countryside and the local products of the Bregenzerwald.
A treat for all the senses. The Cheese Route, founded more than fifteen years ago as a movement to promote the cheese industry of the Bregenzerwäld, has taken this motto to describe, quite literally, its wholehearted passion for its products.
Liechtenstein art museum
Liechtenstein Art Gallery is a place of contrasts, displaying a confrontation of contemporary art and its roots in modernism.
The unmistakable black cube of the Liechtenstein Art Gallery looms large in the centre of Vaduz. The facade, a smooth monotonous concrete wall consisting mainly of black basalt and coloured river gravel, is so constructed as to induce lively patterns on its reflective surface.
Schubertiade Schwarzenberg
Discovering new venues is part of the traition of the Schubertiade. Since its founding in 1976 in Hohenems the Schubertiade has already found a home in various places and can quite literally look back on a “moving history”. From 1994 to 2000 so-called “countryside performances” have been held in addition to the concerts in Feldkirch. These have attracted audiences to some incredibly lovely spots.
